Winter Solstice, also known as Midwinter and celebrated as Yule among earth-based spiritualists, is the shortest day and longest night in the northern hemisphere.

Symbolically, it represents a time of turning inward, of fallowness and rest. At Yule we honour the dark winter nights from which the light is reborn!
